About The Position

The Plant Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all supply chain activities within the plant, including planning, procurement, inventory management, materials handling, logistics, and customer delivery. This role ensures efficient flow of materials, cost-effective operations, and alignment with Marelli's global standards while supporting production and business goals.
Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Develop, implement, and monitor supply chain strategies to meet production and customer delivery targets.
- Lead the plant supply chain team, including planners, warehouse staff, and logistics personnel.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, purchasing, and engineering to ensure material availability and optimal inventory levels.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and initiate continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and service level enhancement.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, transportation providers, and other external partners.
- Ensure compliance with Marelli policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g. EHS, customs, trade, sustainability).
- Drive digitalization and innovation in supply chain processes, including the implementation of Marelli's supply chain systems and tools.
- Monitor and control supply chain budgets, working capital, and inventory costs.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of supply chain KPIs to plant and regional management.
- Support new product launches, change management, and crisis mitigation (e.g., material shortages, transportation delays).
- Develop and train supply chain team members for enhanced performance and career progression.
What Qualifications You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years' supply chain/operations experience in manufacturing (automotive industry background preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in supply chain IT systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, advanced Excel); experience with digital tools preferred
- Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, lean manufacturing, and inventory management principles
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
