We're looking for a Product Data Scientist to work with the product team of our large enterprise client to make data-driven decisions around user behavior, opportunity sizing, and the impact of new messaging features. This role partners closely with product and engineering to turn analysis into clear strategic direction. This role is a contract, and is available for talent based in Latin America only.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze user behavior and product usage patterns using Python and SQL
  • Evaluate the impact of new messaging features and experiments
  • Size opportunities and estimate potential business and user impact
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for product teams

Experimentation & Measurement

  • Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments
  • Define success metrics and guardrails for product launches
  • Assess feature performance post-launch

Strategic Guidance

  • Provide long-term, data-backed recommendations to influence product strategy
  • Help prioritize product features and enhancements based on impact and effort
  • Partner with product managers to inform roadmap decisions

Qualifications
Must-Have Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and model development
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and extracting data from large datasets
  • Experience analyzing user behavior and product metrics
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Machine Learning experience, including building and evaluating models
  • Engineering-oriented data science background, including: - Data modeling - Architectural and pipeline design
  • Experience working on consumer-facing or messaging products

What Success Looks Like

  • Product decisions are clearly backed by data and experimentation
  • The team understands the expected impact of features before building them
  • Messaging feature launches are measured rigorously and iterated intelligently
