Key Responsibilities:
- To execute local standard operating procedures with a view to ensure the highest level of compliance for all import and export activities;
- Efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the Global Trade activities in Mexico;
- Anticipate any key changes in the regulatory environment of Mexico;
- Maintain solid knowledge about the GBU business within Mexico;
- Remain updated about trends and developments within the supply chain and global trade;
- Support the deployment of the global and regional global trade strategies, policies and standard operating procedures within own perimeter;
- Perform controls as instructed in internal control policies and plans, and standard operating procedures;
- Maintain contact with suppliers to support resolution of operational issues;
- Prepare external audits and assist GT country manager with audit defense, follow up and reporting;
- Support the GT country manager with the assistance around;
- technical processes (classification, origin determination, valuation, etc.) requiring local/regional expertise and the Implementation, maintenance and monitoring of customs related activities (special procedures, entry/exit procedures, free trade zones, etc);
- Apply for and coordinate with customs authorities any authorizations and certificates, handle financial instruments (customs credit, deferment accounts, VAT licenses, etc.). All the aforementioned activities are performed with an eye on cost and process efficiencies;
- Assist the GT country manager with the design, deployment and maintenance of duty saving and trusted trader programs (AEO, CTPAT);
- Track and report key global trade metrics within own perimeter.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's in Economics, International Trade, Law, Supply Chain, or related fields;
- 3+ years of experience in Global Trade and Customs operations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of customs processes, trade regulations, and free trade agreements ;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication abilities (verbal and written);
- Hands-on, proactive, and able to operate autonomously in a matrix environment.

Additional information:
Hybrid work model position for the office in Cidade do México, but remote work may also be considered.
