In this role, a typical day will include:

• Ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting within prescribed deadlines and in compliance with IFRS. Key responsibilities include
• Preparing accurate journal entries, robust monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborating with local stakeholders for timely issue resolution.
• Actively support Financial Reporting & Accounting (FRA) Ops working style by being inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results driven in alignment with Alcon Values and Behaviors
• Act service oriented to enable service lines to deliver a high-performing organization and contribute to derive to improvements/standard solutions while cultivating customer service focus culture.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Education: Undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance required. Masters or Advanced degree in accounting preferred
• Languages: English proficiency - intermediate level (Conversation, reading and writing
• Experience: Accounting Expertise: 3 years of hands-on experience in accounting (Mid level) with a track record of accurate accounting and financial reporting.
• Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of IFRS, balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and statutory/corporate accounting.
• Inventory Accounting: Understanding of inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, weighted average), provisions for slow movers, and impact on COGS and financial statements.
• Audit & Compliance: Experience supporting internal and external audits, with a solid grasp of internal and financial controls.
• Technology Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel skills, along with familiarity with Word and PowerPoint.
• Core Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and planning abilities. Strong analytical skills with a focus on delivering results within deadlines.
• Collaboration: Skilled in stakeholder management to ensure seamless coordination and outcomes.
