About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, supporting the daily financial operations of U.S.-based clients in the cannabis industry. You'll manage recurring deliverables independently, demonstrate ownership, and suggest small improvements to existing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily accounting operations, including reconciliations, invoicing, cash/payment applications, and journal entries
  • Assist with AP & AR processes, aging reports, data entry, documentation, and month-end close activities
  • Deliver accurate, complete work on time while meeting quality standards and SLAs
  • Maintain low error rates and ensure minimal need for supervisor corrections
  • Build client trust through reliable support and contribute ideas to improve workflows
  • Collaborate with team leads and peers in meetings, check-ins, and shared projects
  • Develop technical expertise in accounting fundamentals, AP/AR processes, Excel, and ERP systems
Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or currently in the final semester)

  • Experience: 1–2 years of relevant work experience (internships or entry-level positions count)

  • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level required); Exposure to ERP systems is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under supervision
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new concepts quickly
  • Minimum B2 level of English
