Medical Historian

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Historian to perform virtual patient intake for a top Pain Management clinic in California, US. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering comprehensive medical histories from patients, documenting their information accurately, and ensuring a smooth and supportive intake process. This role requires exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish, as well as a strong understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient intake interviews virtually to gather detailed medical histories.
• Accurately document patient information, including symptoms, past diagnoses, treatments, and family medical history.
• Take inbound calls from patients and handle them professionally.
• Communicate effectively with patients in a professional and empathetic manner in both English and Spanish.
• Answer patient questions regarding the intake process.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.

Requirements:

• Excellent English and Spanish language skills (verbal and written) are required.
• Medical terminology and experience working in a healthcare setting are highly required.
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, including handling incoming and outgoing calls.
• A high school diploma is a minimum requirement.
• High-speed internet connection (at least 50 MB) and a personal computer with an Intel i5 processor and 8GB of RAM or better.
• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17, $21,000.00 per month
