Job Description: Promotions & Partnerships Manager
Role summary:
The role is responsible for pursuing, leading and managing all Promotions & Partnerships initiatives for theatrical releases, with a focus on driving significant earned media value and delivering business competitive insights. This position develops and executes promotional programs and strategic brand partnerships designed to enhance the visibility and market presence of movie titles nationwide, with regional expansion when possible.
Additionally, the role supports events, trade roadshows, and premieres, defining strategies and sponsorship opportunities that deliver innovative and high-impact promotional experiences — including red carpets, in-cinema and mall activations, character tours, and unique themed events.
Overall, this position integrates brand collaborations and creative promotional strategies to engage audiences, amplify exposure, and drive moviegoing attendance.
Core Responsibilities:
Promotional Planning /Conquering Partnerships and Promo Partners
Build promotional plans and strategies for pitching high-level companies in the Mexican marketplace that have fit with the film and brand. Oversee, guide and follow up consumer products as well as promo agencies when needed. Will elaborate creative concepts to connect brands and films. Exchange ideas with senior management and peers, to create 360 plans.
Submission and Approval – Systems
Will dedicate significant timing calculating media exchange (ATL & BTL), submitting deals, legal agreements, and creative artwork into HO system. Constant follow up with both HO and partner to keep tracking of timing and execution.
Events
Build the strategy and oversee events and roadshows (premieres, trade events, CCXP, experiences, etc) bringing potential sponsors and cross media opportunities. Will coordinate it with Operations Team for high quality deployment. In activations and costume character tours, develop all the activities schedule depending on exhibitors, partners, retailers, and shopping malls, obtaining proper permits, Production, staff and oversee all the implement of the tour/activation to be in proper times and budget. Oversee the quotes, purchase orders and payments to vendors for the events, activations, prizes, promo items, etc.
One Sony
Serve as liaisons between US and other sister companies for different Sony One opportunities with Sony Electronics, Sony Music, Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Preferred Education:
- BA or BS degree in Communication, Marketing or related area;
Knowledge:
- Languages: Advanced / Fluent in English.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Promotions, Consumer Products and Events, Business Negotiations, Entertainment Background desirable, Proven track record.
- Proven experience in promotional agencies, consumer products, event management, or entertainment-related businesses with similar practices, services, and fast-paced deadlines.
- Fluent English speaker (oral and written).
- Proficiency in Excel and other MS applications including Outlook.
