Collections Manager, Mexico

Responsibilities
Team Introduction

The Global Payments team provides payment solutions and financial services to ensure that users have a smooth and secure payment experience across our platforms and services.

We are seeking a Collections Manager with experience in fintech, banking, and other financial and/or payment institution.

This a hands-on role and requires someone that is self driven, adaptable to changes and strong leadership qualities to lead the team to achieve its yearly objectives in a highly fast paced environment. This role is based in São Paulo, Brazil.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage the local debt collection team, ensuring efficient team operation, and regularly review and optimize talent allocation.

• Assist in formulating and executing effective debt collection strategies and processes to improve recovery rates.

• Ensure all collection activities comply with local laws, regulations, and company compliance requirements. Conduct regular checks, provide early warnings, and cooperate with internal audits and regulatory inspections

• Assist headquarters in selecting and onboarding appropriate third-party debt collection agencies, and establish sound cooperative relationships

Collect and analyze collection operation data to effectively manage labor costs and improve repayment effectiveness.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s)

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Finance, Law, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a debt collection team (experience in the same industry is preferred), including experience managing an on-site collection team of 50+ members

• High level of oral proficiency in English

Preferred Qualification(s)

• Strong data analysis skills are preferred
