The Jr. QA Automation Engineer will be verifying the quality, functionalities and useability of multiple applications, systems and SW within various areas throughout the organization before product launch. The ideal person for this role has experience gathering requirements, the ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. This type of role will require someone who can create test cases and utilize tools to execute manual testing tasks and jobs, create and run automated tests, track and monitor projects, defects in coding, and bugs presenting reports to management.
· Meet with technical and functional leadership within business units to understand business requirements and technical specifications while leading the creation of SIT and UAT test plans.
· Create test cases and automated tests reviewing them with technology and business partners to obtain approvals while performing manual and automated tests for software functionality, installation, and usability.
· Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts, manage bugs and error tracking and present documented test results to management.
· Develop new tests to run, run the tests, and document the results in addition to coordinating with SW Development Engineers to fix and patch any issues in the applications.
· Help to define the required Test Strategy, Test Scenarios and associated test data
· Participate in the creation of requirements traceability matrix in addition to executing test cases and logging results in repository and bug tracking tools according to escalation protocols.
· Draft and distribute daily status reports to colleagues and upper management regarding identified bugs/defects in the applications, systems and SW within the fraud, risk and compliance areas.
· Assist technology and business partners on defect triage process and execute Test Cases on JIRA.
· Bachelor's Degree is required
· Bilingual English & Spanish (written, verbal) is required
· 2-4+ years' experience in manual and automated QA testing roles
· Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies (design and testing)
· Previous experience with repository and bug tracking tools, such as JIRA, TFS and database concepts within MS SQL Server and Oracle DB environments
· Solid knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, Postman
· Previous experience with Regression Testing and submitting the Regression Testing Reports
· Bachelor's Degree is required
· Knowledgeable of Fraud domain knowledge is preferred but not mandatory
· Solid understanding of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, XML and .NET Framework is a plus
