Reporting to the operations manager, will be responsible for leading the mechanical engineering of some specific projects, in quality, delivery time and cost.
Responsibilities
Machine design, according to customer requirements
supervise some engineers, internal or external, on design activities
doing machine concepts, according to quotation, and customer expectations
manage and supervise multiple and independently mechanical project design.
collaborate with quotations area, doing some studies or concepts
collaborate with assembly and installations area.
collaborate with project leader, providing technical or financial information
participate on the project closure, providing feedback and lessons learnt
participating on the customer meetings, project revision
collaborate on operations area, providing new ideas, and support on implementation of new organization tools or procedures
standardize, improve designs or procedures for future projects
supervising project documentation
manage established budget to meet financial targets
Qualifications
knowledge on information technologies as user.
advancer user in Microsoft office.
advancer user in SolidWorks
strong knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools, and instruments involved in machine building and use of detailed drawings and 3d cad models.
training about iso rules :2015 approved
knowledge about environmental good practices and 5s system
excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish)
minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position in the industrial sector. Preferable
machine builder for the automotive sector.
minimum 10 years' experience in the industrial sector, as engineer or technician
team management
valuable international experience
