Job Description

As a junior data scientist, you will join a team of about 2 people, consisting of a data scientist and the data leader. Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to various types of data requests from company colleagues (data extractions, automated emails, dashboards, data analysis).
• Maintaining and improving the team's data pipelines.
• Participating in discussions with stakeholders.
• Contributing to the growth of other team members and helping to establish best practices.
• Finding ways to collaborate with other teams within the company and identifying opportunities to add value through effective communication (e-commerce, stores, marketing, etc.).

It is essential to be versatile, showing strong interest and leadership in related areas such as data analyst or business intelligence.

Responsibilities

As a Versatile Data Scientist, you will join a team of three people made up of data scientists and backend developers. You will play a central role in meeting the company's varied needs, combining skills in data science, data engineering, business intelligence, and application development. Your responsibilities will include:

• Data Requests: Handling data requests from various company departments, including data extractions, automated emails, dashboard creation, and data analysis.
• Improving Data Processes: Maintaining and enhancing the team's data management processes by developing and optimizing data pipelines for more efficient analyses.
• Algorithm and Application Development: Fixing bugs, improving existing features, and developing new features for our data models.
• Collaboration and Communication: Participating in discussions with stakeholders, identifying opportunities to collaborate with other teams (e-commerce, stores, marketing, etc.), and clearly and regularly communicating progress.
• Supervision and Mentoring: Supervising university interns and contributing to the upskilling of other team members by sharing best practices and fostering a continuous learning culture.

Requisitos y calificaciones

Desired Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor degree in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or any other relevant field, with at least 1 year of experience in:

• Data Manipulation and Management: Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and R to handle large amounts of data, develop data visualization tools (connections) (Tableau, etc.), and perform analyses to generate relevant insights. Familiarity with Databricks, postgress & Github.
• Application Development and Machine Learning: Knowledge in developing data-driven applications and machine learning with Python, including deep learning methods (NLP, time series).
• Cloud Computing Skills: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS- Redshift S3) for data storage, executing scheduled scripts, and deploying applications. (Agregar AWS)
• Autonomy and Time Management: Ability to work independently, manage your own projects, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Communication and Collaboration: Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs.
