Business Unit Overview
The Retail Segments team at BlackRock partners closely with Banamex, one of Mexico's largest financial institutions, to deliver investment solutions to mass market, affluent, and SME clients across the country. The business unit covers nine territories and leverages Banamex's extensive branch network, digital channels, and commercial franchise to drive scalable growth and financial inclusion. The team's mission is to democratize access to investment products, enhance client experience through digital innovation, and support Banamex's transformation into a leading provider of wealth management services in Mexico.
Job Purpose & Background
This role exists to accelerate the transformation of traditional savers into active investors within Banamex's retail client base. As an Associate, you will be instrumental in executing strategic initiatives, launching new products, and supporting initiatives that expand investment penetration. You will collaborate with Banamex bankers and senior stakeholders, drive digital onboarding, and deliver educational programs that empower clients to make informed investment decisions. Role Overview:
As an Associate within BlackRock's Retail Segments team, you will support the partnership with Banamex, focusing on transforming traditional savers into active investors. This role is pivotal in expanding investment product adoption, driving client engagement, and supporting innovative initiatives that democratize access to investment solutions across Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Education
Develop and deliver training programs for bankers on investment products, market trends, and best advisory practices.
Organize workshops, webinars, and in-person sessions to strengthen the commercial and technical capabilities of Banamex teams.
Create educational materials and practical guides tailored to varying levels of experience.
Strategic Initiatives
Drive the launch of new initiatives, facilitating the transition from saving to investing for Banamex clients.
Lead digital onboarding efforts for recurring investment contributions, automating savings and fostering long-term client engagement.
Support targeted campaigns to reactivate inactive investment accounts and incentivize new contract openings.
Market Development
Analyze market trends and client data to identify opportunities for expanding investment product adoption, especially among clients with low financial education.
Contribute to brand awareness initiatives, leveraging Banamex's channels to promote BlackRock's investment solutions and educational content.
Operational Excellence
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges in onboarding and account management, enabling scalable growth in the retail segment.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including client base growth, assets under management (AUM), and net new business flows.
Public Speaking & Communication
Represent BlackRock and Banamex in public forums, client events, and training sessions.
Deliver presentations and workshops to diverse audiences, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
Primary Objective
Transform savers into investors by:
Promoting accessible, investment products (mutual funds) for financial inclusion.
Educating clients on the benefits of investing versus traditional saving, emphasizing long-term wealth creation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
3–4 years of experience in retail banking, asset management, or client-facing financial services.
FIGURE 3 AMIB certification required.
Advanced English required.
Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated experience in public speaking, presentations, or training delivery.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Spanish and English.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience using CRM platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
Impact

Support the digital transformation of investment onboarding and client engagement.
Help launch innovative campaigns and products that drive contract openings and investment flows.
