SAP S/4HANA FI/CO Implementation Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced
SAP S/4HANA FI/CO Consultant
to lead and support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling modules. This role involves working closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver high-quality ERP solutions tailored to organizational needs, with a strong emphasis on
USA localization requirements
(tax, reporting, compliance).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SAP S/4HANA FI/CO implementation projects, including design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Translate business requirements into SAP solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and localization needs.
  • Configure and support FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, CO-CCA, CO-PC, CO-PA modules.
  • Manage vendor master data, down payments, open item clearing, and related financial processes.
  • Create and maintain functional and technical documentation (e.g., functional specs, design specs).
  • Identify gaps and propose effective workarounds or enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (onshore and offshore) and mentor junior consultants.
  • Support upgrade activities and communicate project status, risks, and timelines.
  • Educate local teams on SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling functionalities.
  • Perform system demos and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Define and execute localization requirements for the U.S. market, including tax, reporting, and compliance.
  • Support testing, training, cutover, and post-go-live activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    12 years of experience
    in SAP FI/CO roles, including at least
    4 full-cycle implementations
    .
  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC6, including configuration and testing.
  • Deep knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cost Center Accounting, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Taxation, and Treasury.
  • Experience with
    SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM)
    in ECC and Central Finance (cFIN).
  • Proven experience integrating SAP with third-party systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead project deliverables.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with
    USA localization
    , including financial regulations, tax structures, and reporting standards.
  • Experience in creating and managing security profiles based on local requirements.
  • Familiarity with data conversion, field/value mapping, and functional specification for localization.
  • Prior involvement in training delivery and change management initiatives.
