Job Description: IT Systems Manager – Manufacturing

Location

Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico

Work Modality:
100% On-site

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Position Objective

To lead, manage, and evolve the Information Technology strategy for a large-scale manufacturing company (+2,000 employees), ensuring operational continuity, information security, and the successful execution of strategic initiatives—particularly
ERP implementations
, data analytics, and process automation.

Mandatory Requirements

Experience

  • 10+ years of IT experience within the manufacturing industry
    , demonstrable.
  • 5+ years as an IT / Systems Manager
    , leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working in organizations with
    2,000+ headcount
    or complex corporate structures.
  • Recent ERP implementation experience
    , specifically in the following modules:
  • CDS
  • Finance
  • Operations
  • Proven leadership across:
  • Cybersecurity
  • Software Development & Programming
  • IT Infrastructure & Support
  • Systems Integration
  • Strong experience managing
    IT budgets
    , vendors, and cost control.
  • Verifiable projects and achievements
    , including the application of
    AI solutions
    in business or IT processes.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Master's degree or certifications in IT Management, ERP, Project Management, or Digital Transformation are a plus.

Technical Skills

  • ERP implementation, administration, and continuous improvement.
  • NetSuite experience is a strong PLUS (desirable).
  • Prior experience with NetSuite implementation, administration, or integrations is highly valued.
  • Cybersecurity governance, business continuity, and risk management.
  • Power BI, executive dashboards, and data analysis
    for decision-making.
  • Software development, automation, and system integrations (APIs).
  • IT governance and frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, SCRUM, PMI).

Languages

  • Advanced English (desirable)
    for interaction with global vendors, partners, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Define and execute the
    IT strategy
    aligned with manufacturing business objectives.
  2. Lead
    ERP implementation and optimization projects
    , including NetSuite where applicable.
  3. Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity functions.
  4. Implement
    data analytics and reporting solutions (Power BI)
    for executive visibility.
  5. Manage
    IT budgets
    , vendor relationships, and technology contracts.
  6. Promote the use of
    AI and automation
    to optimize operational and administrative processes.
  7. Ensure system reliability, scalability, and compliance with internal SLAs.
