We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong real estate development, construction, and property accounting experience to support multiple client engagements in a fast-paced outsourced accounting environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work across development projects, property operations, and partnership structures.

What You'll Do
Real Estate Project AccountingPerform full-cycle accounting for development projects, including job cost tracking, cost allocations, and budget monitoring.Prepare and/or review lender/investor draw packages and ensure compliance with loan and developer agreements.Reconcile construction budgets, analyze variances, and support project teams with financial reporting.Support construction AP workflows, vendor setup, retainage, and payment processing.Ensure accurate capitalization of development costs and assist with the asset transitions to placed-in-service status.Prepare and/or review capital calls, distributions, partner allocations, and equity schedules.Property & Lease AccountingInterpret lease agreements and ensure accurate rent, CAM, and recovery calculations.Prepare and/or review monthly property financials, operating reports, and account reconciliations.Resolve discrepancies with property management and assist with budget preparation.Core Accounting & ReportingExecute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, journal entries, and reconciliations.Prepare and/or review compiled financial statements and supporting work papers.Apply US GAAP to real estate transactions and support annual audits.What You Need
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience; real estate or construction accounting preferred.Proficiency with real estate systems such as Yardi, MRI, RealPage, Procore, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or QBO.Strong analytical and data analysis skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in development, construction, property, or partnership accounting.Familiarity with developer agreements, loan documents, and draw processes.Experience in improving accounting systems, workflows, or internal controls.Experience with multi-entity consolidations and construction accounting.Salary & Perks
Competitive SalaryThis is a full-time, long-term position.
