DESCRIPTION

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Mexico seeks a Sr. Transportation Execution Manager to revolutionize our First Mile Inbound network. This role demands a strategic leader who will orchestrate end-to-end inbound operations while driving innovation across our expanding logistics ecosystem. The ideal candidate will blend analytical prowess with hands-on operational leadership to transform complex supply chain challenges into scalable victories. Leading cross-functional teams, you'll optimize carrier partnerships, implement data-driven solutions, and architect long-term network improvements that elevate our transportation capabilities. Key job responsibilities

1. Defines innovative logistics solutions that optimize the Inbound and vendor experience, while achieving delivery speed, technological advancement, and cost efficiency.

  1. Collaborates initiatives with stakeholders, leveraging data-driven insights to align project priorities with business objectives.

  2. Establish clear roadmaps that prioritize speed initiatives to deliver immediate business impact

  3. Proactively bridge operational gaps across teams, processes, and systems to mitigate potential failure points.

  4. Monitor KPI results to provide actionable insights into logistics excellence, reducing transportation impacts while assuring optimal product deliveries into our network.

  5. Maintain a data-driven and continuous improvement mindset to be extended across teams to enable informed decision-making and measurable progress toward strategic objectives while identifying opportunities towards our customers experience.

  6. Implement robust strategies according to the industry best practices on first mile logistics.

  7. Demonstrate intellectual agility in converting ambiguous situations into actionable solutions, anticipating potential obstacles before they impact operations as roadblocks.

  8. Deliver compelling communications that translate complex operational insights into actionable business narratives, ensuring key stakeholders remain informed and engaged

A day in the life

Join Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) First Mile team in a role that directly impacts our network's success. You'll spearhead following critical initiatives: 1. Lead comprehensive analysis of transportation metrics (On Time Arrival, CPS, DEA, Vendor performance), translating data insights into both immediate solutions and long-term strategic improvements.

  1. Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration to streamline operations, eliminating inefficiencies while enhancing daily execution.

  2. Architect and drive structured improvement cadences, from daily huddles to monthly workshops, ensuring continuous advancement of our External Fulfillment capabilities.

  3. Champion knowledge management through structured documentation of project achievements and milestones, following Amazon's proven methodologies. Craft compelling project narratives that capture innovative solutions, quantifiable benefits, and strategic roadblock elimination strategies, creating a robust foundation for scalable success and continuous improvement across our transportation network.

About the team

The candidate will interact with cross functional stakeholders from Finance, FCs, Transportation, Supply Chain Planning, etc. ATS First mile team works under the vision of building the world's most customer centric transportation network, enabling Amazon to reliably and efficiently deliver products to customers at a level of service that exceeds their expectations. Our vision is to:

  2. Leverage advanced technologies, data analytics, and operational expertise to optimize transportation planning, execution, and visibility.

  5. Empower and enable Amazon's internal teams to focus on their core competencies by providing reliable, high-performance transportation options

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • 6+ years of program or project management experience
  • 6+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 6+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Spanish and English Fluent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
