Responsibilities
The Opportunity
This role sits within the Global Procurement function and reports to the Director, Global Technology and Services. The Associate Manager, Procurement - HR Operations will be responsible for executing against PepsiCo's global procurement strategy for a ~$100MM spend portfolio across HR Operations. This role is responsible for driving value, operational efficiency, and innovation through strategic supplier management, performance-based commercial models, and integration of technologies such as Generative AI (GenAI) and hyper-automation.

The role will be responsible for performing sourcing events (competitive bidding, RFI's, RFP's, support the negotiation & execution of contracts, and building better internal processes across Procurement, business functions, S&T, HR, Finance & Legal. The successful candidate will have a strong procurement background with robust experience managing contracts and vendor relationships. The role will interact with senior leaders across all PepsiCo Sectors and will consult on how to improve upon contracting and financial management.

your scope would consist of:

This is a strategic and dynamic procurement role on a growing team that is key to supporting PepsiCo's most important strategic priorities.

  • Support the development and lead the execution of comprehensive global sourcing and supplier strategies across the HR Operations, including Talent Management and Learning, to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve service delivery for PepsiCo business units.
  • Partner with Procurement, Strategy & Transformation, and HR leadership to define objectives and supplier execution plans.
  • Drive end-to-end sourcing processes including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, contract negotiations (MSAs, SOWs), and rate benchmarking to optimize supplier engagements.
  • Leverage GenAI and hyper-automation to increase procurement productivity, accelerate time to market, reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), and improve quality of service.
  • Support the negotiation of performance-based contracts with data and trend analysis to incentivize innovation, service excellence, and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor and report financial performance of HR Operations, Talent Management and Learning, and the Management Consulting categories, developing annual financial plans and achieving productivity, cash flow, and innovation goals.
  • Ensure compliance with PepsiCo procurement policies, terms and conditions, and risk mitigation frameworks, particularly in performance-based contracts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners to ensure effective strategy implementation and resolution of contract or performance issues.
  • Work closely with other Global Procurement colleagues from different sectors on global initiatives, sharing of best practice, and in identifying productivity opportunities.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required. A focused degree in Procurement, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Finance, highly preferred; MS or MBA preferred.
  • 3 to 5+ years of relevant procurement experience in Procurement and Indirect categories, with a focus on HR Operations.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing pay-for-performance commercial models with technology services suppliers, ensuring alignment between supplier compensation and service delivery outcomes.
  • Experience with integrating GenAI, hyper automation, or other advanced technologies in vendor solutions that results in reduced cost of ownership, faster time to customer and higher quality of tech services
  • Global mindset and ability to collaborate and operate in a matrix structure.
  • Demonstrated track record of accomplishment in negotiating complex contracts, specifically for HR Operations, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Advanced analytical skills with thought leadership to drive strategy development and execution.
  • Results-oriented - comfortable with setting stretch targets for self and team.
  • Well-developed communication skills; strong alignment skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior management both internally and externally.
