About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing cross-border finance team. This position supports our U.S.-based accounting operations, focusing on accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close.

Important:

  • You must live within one hour of Mexico City.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.

  • While this is primarily a remote role, occasional in-person meetings in Mexico City are required.
  • The published pay rate represents gross monthly compensation.

What You'll Do

  • Process vendor invoices and prepare payment runs (AP).
  • Create and send invoices to U.S. clients; track collections (AR).
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Record journal entries and assist with month-end close.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records.
  • Support U.S.-based finance team with ad hoc reports.
  • Handle light administrative duties (mail, receipts, vendor forms).

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience (preferably international or U.S. company).
  • Strong skills in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Fluent English communication skills — written and verbal.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Must reside within one hour of Mexico City.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with Trello, ClickUp, or Notion.
  • Experience supporting a U.S.-based finance team.
