Program Background 

The Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) is an Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) program implemented by DT Global.

Under strategic direction from DFAT officials at the Australian High Commission in PNG, ESIP is delivering a range of activities and policy initiatives in the energy and telecommunications sectors. ESIP is also supporting PNG's state-owned enterprise performance improvement program and delivering social infrastructure planning, design and construction services.

Gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and social and environmental safeguards are a focus of the program and are mainstreamed across ESIP's activities and operations.

The Role

The Business Intelligence and Systems Adviser will provide advanced technical expertise and strategic guidance to support the development, optimisation, and integration of ESIP's Management Information Systems. The Adviser will work closely with the MIS Manager and Developer to address complex technical challenges, manage and prioritise team workflow, enhance system architecture, and build internal capacity for sustainable MIS operations.

About You 

Key selection criteria for the potential successful candidate includes, but not limited to: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in MIS design, implementation, and optimisation, preferably in international development or complex programs

  • Experience in managing MIS teams to deliver projects and respond to organisational priorities

  • Knowledge and / or experience of applying GEDSI and safeguards principles.
