ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of GC and GCMS instrumentation, including installation, advanced troubleshooting, and IQ/OQ validation. This role acts as a technical bridge between our global factory standards and our local market, ensuring optimal instrument performance and customer satisfaction through on-site and remote support.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

· Technical Execution: Perform installation, preventive maintenance, complex repairs, and qualification procedures (IQ/PM/OQ) for analytical instrumentation.

· Channel & Customer Support: Provide expert technical assistance in Spanish to local distributors and end-users.

· Training & Enablement: Conduct technical training sessions for customers and distributors on instrument operation and maintenance protocols.

· Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise service records and technical documentation in both English and Spanish.

· Field Operations: Manage a rigorous travel schedule within Mexico to support our customer base, including emergency on-call services.

· Project Coordination: Ensure seamless coordination between internal specialists and external parties to resolve technical bottlenecks.

Requisitos

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related technical field.

· Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Field Service Engineer (FSE) or Specialist, with hands-on expertise in GC, LC, AA, or ICP technologies.

· Technical Skills: Proven track record in troubleshooting, laboratory workflows, and qualification procedures (IQ/OQ). Proficiency in using hand tools and multimeters.

· Core Competencies: Proactive "ownership" attitude, logical thinking for diagnostics, and strong presentation skills.

· Language: Native-level Spanish and Professional working proficiency in English (capable of technical documentation and conversation).

· Logistics: Valid driver's license and full flexibility for frequent business travel and emergency calls.

· Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, basic networking knowledge, and remote diagnostic capabilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to perform frequent bending, standing, stooping, walking, and talking throughout the workday.

· Capacity to remain sitting or driving for extended periods of time.

· Strength to routinely pull, push, and lift instrumentation or parts weighing approximately 40 pounds.

· Excellent manual dexterity and "hand-to-finger" coordination for precision repairs.

· Specific vision abilities including close/distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception for accurate diagnostics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Mass Spectrometry Expertise: Experience with Mass Spectrometry systems (GCMS) is a significant competitive advantage.

· Hands-on Lab Experience: Previous experience as an end-user of analytical chemistry instruments (LC, GC, AA, ICP).

· Regulatory Knowledge: Proficiency in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO standards, and laboratory safety regulations.

· Remote Support: Experience with remote troubleshooting and virtual technical assistance.
