Business Director - Online Payments (Aggregator & SPEI Focus)
with strategic vision, operational precision, and a strong desire to make an impact. If you want to build something big, this challenge is for you.

Role Objective:

Lead business growth in the Mexican digital payments ecosystem by identifying and developing opportunities related to aggregators, SPEI (real-time transfers), and online payment solutions. The Business Director will focus on maximizing the potential of current products while driving innovation in new payment services to ensure competitiveness, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Opportunities: Identify and pursue business opportunities within the aggregator and SPEI ecosystem, ensuring alignment with market trends, regulatory frameworks, and customer needs.
  • Product Growth: Strengthen adoption and performance of current online payment solutions, focusing on scalability, user experience, and market penetration.
  • New Solutions Development: Collaborate with product and technology teams to design and launch innovative payment products (e.g., alternative online payment methods, merchant integrations, APIs) that expand the company's offering.
  • Partnerships: Build and manage relationships with banks, fintechs, processors, and regulatory entities to enhance competitive advantage and ensure compliance in online transactions.
  • Revenue & Performance: Define growth KPIs for online payments and track performance against revenue and adoption goals.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Work closely with compliance and legal teams to navigate CNBV, Banxico, and fintech regulation requirements, ensuring products meet all obligations.
  • Insights & Trends: Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory updates in the Mexican payments ecosystem (SPEI, CoDi, digital wallets, aggregators).
  • Leadership: Develop and guide the business development team with a focus on innovation, agility, and cross-functional collaboration.

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development or strategic roles within payments, fintech, or financial services in Mexico.
  • Deep understanding of online payments, particularly aggregators, SPEI transfers, merchant acquiring, and digital payment rails.
  • Strong network with banks, PSPs, fintechs, and regulators.
  • Proven ability to scale online payment products and bring new solutions to market.
  • Experience navigating regulatory frameworks (CNBV, Banxico, Fintech Law).
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
