Customer Service Specialist(freight forwarding)

Responsibilities
- Monitor and follow up on general cargo operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
- Coordinate with shipping lines to secure bookings, verify schedules, and resolve operational issues.
- Request, track, and confirm payments in internal systems, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain close communication with internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and providing updates.
- Prepare, update, and maintain detailed tracking reports in coordination with customs brokers, customers, and internal teams.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and proposing corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (yard, transport, administration) to ensure smooth coordination.
- Share customer requirements with suppliers and monitor their proper implementation.
- Reconcile accounts with suppliers, verify charges, and follow up on payments.
- Execute additional tasks assigned by leadership with professionalism and accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong knowledge of customs processes, shipping documentation, and financial follow-up.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- English proficiency.
