Summary

  • The Procurement Data & Analytics Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing procurement data, dashboards, and performance metrics to support effective supplier and commodity management. This role partners closely with Buyers, Commodity Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, transparency, and actionable insights that enable cost control, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across procurement operations.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports to support ongoing supplier and commodity management activities.
  • Analyze cost data, savings performance, volume trends, and pricing movements; provide regular updates to the Director of Procurement and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across procurement systems (ERP, reporting tools, dashboards).
  • Support sourcing processes by preparing data packages, supplier performance summaries, and cost comparison analysis.
  • Collaborate with Buyers and Commodity Managers to ensure pricing, terms, and system records are kept current and align with internal policy.
  • Assist with standard cost updates, price-change tracking, and cost-reduction reporting.
  • Monitor supplier delivery, quality, and commercial performance through data analytics and escalate concerns when trends indicate risk.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing clear, accurate procurement data for APQP, program reviews, and business reporting.
  • Contribute to supplier onboarding and qualification processes by preparing necessary data sets and documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely updates of tooling, prototype orders, and contract data within the system.
  • Participate in procurement continuous-improvement activities, focusing on automation of reports, simplification of data flows, and enhancement of procurement visibility tools.

Major Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement analytics, supply chain reporting, or a similar analytical role within a manufacturing or automotive environment (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, with experience in cost analysis, KPI tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and advanced reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, sourcing activities, and supplier performance management.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with interest in automation, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
