About Us:

For over 20 years, at Aspen Aerogels, we have applied our expertise in aerogel science to design, manufacture, and market aerogel-based solutions to address some of our most challenging asset protection applications and energy conservation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs monthly financial closing functions related to inventory and manufacturing costs.
  • Reports and analyzes labor and overhead spending, absorption, variances, and the impact on the financial.
  • Provides financial data for assessment and measuring productivity, KPI's, and cost improvement activities.
  • Estimates annual impact of manufacturing changes and impact to business.
  • Assists in the planning process for the annual operating plan and monthly forecasts.
  • Supports the Company's SOX compliance initiatives and physical inventory programs.
  • Prepares audit schedules and perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as required or assigned by manager.
  • Prepare and explain P&L results for the plant.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • General accounting principles, basic cost accounting, variance analysis, absorption, overhead. Proficiency in financial statement analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience in inventory valuation and E&O reserve management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing performance metrics (OEE, yield, scrap, productivity).
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Experience in ERP systems (Oracle, D365), business intelligence tools (power BI or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

This position is located 100% on site.
