What You Will Achieve 

As a member of Pfizer's Continuous Improvement program, you will define, design and implement continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across the organization. Build and develop colleague´s competences to enable them to identify and execute initiatives aligned to Site goals.

Your work will analyze improvement programs and potential results; facilitate and coach improvement teams; establish and maintain performance metrics to measure program success; and install proves excellence supports for program governance, project reviews, communications, training, certifications and rewards. 

As a Leader, your breadth of knowledge on internal or external business challenges will help us improve our products, processes and services. Your will guide us to lead projects by meeting objectives and preparing forecasts for resource requirements. Your risk-taking ability will help us advance new concepts and methodologies. You will provide technical guidance and oversight to team members and help in problem solving.

How You Will Achieve It 
  • Promote the common understanding of OpEx strategy and culture across the company. 

  • Lead IMEx strategy for the site (OpEx manufacturing System for Pfizer).

  • Work closely with management and stakeholders in the Continuous Improvement journey to identify areas where OpEx/IMEx can add value to transform the company's performance & practice of IMEx.

  • Regularly assessment of colleagues OpEx & IMEX capabilities and competences and keeps a record of it. Identifies training needs, builds and executes programs to close any gap trough excellence elements and tools.

  • Assure 6S/Lean projects are properly documented following established methodology: project creation, project management, project coaching, reporting, implementation and control in CI Loops.  

  • Make sure 6S/Lean projects address Site major sources of loss and are integrated into the CI Loops.

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction on continuous improvement & IMEx, with a focus on production and business process improvement. Coach in the use of principles of Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Standard Work, Coaching Skills, CI Loop, Process Robustness, Capacity planning, System Care and others related.

  • Coach Yellow and Green Belt colleagues in the application and use of Lean-Six Sigma. 

  • Facilitate Innovation workshops to solve complex problems.

  • Manage multiple projects/ongoing work activities of moderate complexity within the department typically involving cross-functional representatives 

  • Develop and implement a Knowledge Management framework that supports end user requirements.  

  • Assist with the Operational Excellence (OpEx) organization above site and manage all site specific OpEx activities with guidance from site and area/business leadership.  

  • Develop and implement projects and cross-functional teams to cultivate a continuous improvement mindset based on lean principles.  

  • Create, organize and standardize the storage of processes, tools, training materials, templates and best practices that are current, relevant and consistent with the best practice expectations. 

  • Support development of a site or team Community of Practice for sharing Best Practices across workstreams; provide coordination and analytic support to maximize engagement and effectiveness.

  • Build and maintain a diverse and inclusive team culture and support Pfizer's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion objectives within the business unit. 

  • Foster a recognition culture.

Qualifications 

Must-Have 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of applicable experience.  

  • People Management Experience. 

  • Proven leadership and change management abilities.  

  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor colleagues.  

  • Influencing skills.

  • Workshop facilitation skills.

  • Effective team building skills and negotiation skills. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Yellow Belt Lean-Six Sigma certified.

  • English- advanced level. 

Nice-to-Have 

  • Master's degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience. 

  • Experience leading large projects.  

  • Project management and continuous improvement certifications (e.g. Agile, PMP, Green Belt - Black Belt Lean - Six Sigma, or similar).
