POSITION SUMMARY
- Plays a critical role in leading and coordinating multiple strategic initiatives across the plant. This position is responsible for ensuring that all related projects are aligned with business objectives, delivered on time, and generate maximum value for the organization. The Strategic Program Leader will act as a central point of contact between cross-functional teams, driving collaboration, managing risks, and ensuring that resources are effectively allocated to meet production and operational goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple interrelated projects within the plant.
- Ensure alignment of program objectives with the company's strategic goals and production growth targets.
- Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and performance metrics.
- Facilitate collaboration between engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and other departments.
- Identify interdependencies and ensure seamless integration across projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and senior leadership.
- Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage changes in scope, schedule, and resources, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Monitor program health and escalate issues as needed.
- Track progress against key milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Analyze program outcomes and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
- Coordinate resource allocation across projects to optimize efficiency.
- Support budget planning and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance program effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-8 years of experience in program management, project management, or operations management within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent program management certification is highly desirable.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
