Inspired Education is seeking a
Finance Leader
to join our regional Finance team and support our growing operations across Mexico. Based in Mexico City, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with school and regional leadership, ensuring strong financial planning, control, and reporting processes that enable sound strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

We're looking for a proactive, analytical, and business-oriented finance professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and enjoys partnering with multiple schools and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will combine deep financial management expertise with strong leadership skills, strategic acumen, and a hands-on approach to driving results and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across schools in Mexico.
  • Monitor financial performance versus budget and provide timely analysis and recommendations.
  • Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting under IFRS and Mexican GAAP.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships to optimize financial resources.
  • Approve payments and maintain robust internal financial controls.
  • Oversee procurement, vendor management, and cost-optimization initiatives.
  • Review major contracts and ensure alignment with financial and compliance standards.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the finance team to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Partner with school and regional leadership to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

What the Ideal Candidate Will Have

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in financial management or leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Mexican GAAP, and local compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience managing multi-entity or multi-campus financial operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, budgeting, and reporting skills with strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner with non-financial stakeholders.
  • High integrity, accountability, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
