Skills and Competencies

• Minimum 15 years in credit analysis or structured finance, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Deep knowledge of structured finance markets and rating methodologies; strong leadership and communication skills; advanced English proficiency.
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills and attention to detail in complex credit assessments.
• Inspires and guides teams toward achieving strategic objectives.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred. CFA is a plus

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management: Supervise analysts and associates, ensuring balanced workload and professional growth.}
• Analytical Oversight: Validate methodologies and rating processes for structured products (RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CLO, etc.).
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Moody's policies, regulatory requirements, and independence standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Moody's Local Mexico in meetings with issuers, investors, and regulators.
• Strategic Initiatives: Drive process improvements and technology adoption to enhance efficiency and quality.
• This position is subject to Moody's Code of Conduct, independence requirements, and applicable local regulations. The Director must maintain strict separation between analytical and commercial activities.

About the team

The Director will lead the Structured Finance Group in Mexico, overseeing credit analysis and ratings for structured finance instruments. This role ensures analytical excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Moody's global standards while fostering team development and stakeholder engagement.
