Billing & Cancellation Specialist

About the Role

Roomvu is hiring a Billing & Cancellation Specialist to support our fast-growing SaaS customer base. This role focuses on billing inquiries, subscription management, cancellations, refunds, and payment troubleshooting.

You'll handle sensitive customer conversations with professionalism and empathy while working directly in billing systems like Stripe and ticketing platforms to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a positive customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone who is process-driven, calm under pressure, and confident handling payment-related issues in a SaaS environment.

What You'll Do

• Handle billing, subscription, refund, and cancellation requests via tickets and video calls
• Manage subscription updates using Stripe or similar billing platforms
• Investigate failed payments, invoices, and chargebacks
• Apply cancellation and retention policies accurately and consistently
• Clearly explain billing terms, renewal cycles, and policies to customers
• Log and document all interactions in the ticketing system
• Escalate complex billing or compliance cases when needed
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Finance, and Operations teams
• Maintain a calm, empathetic, and professional tone in difficult conversations

What We're Looking For

• Strong spoken and written English
• 2+ years in Customer Service, Billing Support, or Account Services
• Hands-on experience with Stripe or subscription billing systems
• Experience using ticketing systems (Zendesk, Zoho Desk, Freshdesk, Intercom, etc.)
• Comfortable handling cancellations, objections, and billing disputes
• High attention to detail and strong documentation skills
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn internal tools
• Reliable high-speed internet & professional home setup

Nice to have

• SaaS or subscription-based business experience
• Familiarity with churn, retention, and customer lifecycle metrics

Compensation

• CAD $1,000 – $2,000 per month (base)
• Performance-based success bonuses tied to:
