Ensure compliance with the Quality and Food Safety Management Policy across material reception, production, and packaging areas. Verify the implementation of procedures and regulations related to quality and food safety concerning raw materials, processes, and finished products.
Your Impact:
As a
Quality Coordinator
, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring product specifications are accurate and up to date.
- Managing and following up on reports of non-conforming products.
- Sampling, approving, and rejecting in-process and finished products.
- Validating and monitoring daily SSOPs and deep-cleaning SSOPs.
- Promoting and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Controlling and verifying critical control points across production lines.
- Contributing to the performance of the Quality and Food Safety System.
- Managing ICP, ICC/ICM, and CEP processes.
- Conducting internal quality audits.
- Supporting Gold Standard execution and preference.
- Driving Quality Award initiatives.
- Ensuring the reliability of products delivered to consumers.
- Standardizing criteria for ICC evaluations and ICP calibrations.
- Developing strategies to reduce quality complaints or foreign matter incidents.
- Ensuring reliable sourcing of raw and packaging materials.
- Certifying products for export.
- Promoting a strong quality culture within the Monterrey Plant.
- Designing training programs for frontline and "Puntas Estrella" staff to ensure compliance with Quality and Sanitation Systems.
- Coordinating training and certification for key roles.
- Holding authority to enforce food safety and quality policies through adherence to GMP, while fostering a culture of hygiene and food safety.
- Holding authority to halt activities that pose food safety risks or stop potentially unsafe products.
- Authorizing work in product-handling zones.
- Responsible for informing designated quality personnel about issues related to the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Responsible for complying with the established knowledge and skills matrix.
Who Are We Looking For?
Basic requierments:
- Degree in Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the food industry
- Experience with certifications in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, or ISO 22000
- Experience in production lines, packaging, quality control, and personnel management
- Knowledge of sanitary regulations, food safety, and audit processes
- Familiarity with production systems, raw materials, and packaging operations
- Intermediate to advanced conversational English
- Proficiency in tools such as SAP, advanced Excel, and ERP systems
- Ability to schedule and manage quality across shift-based production
- Experience in monitoring, controlling, and analyzing quality metrics
- Experience in audits
