Accounts Payable Administrator

The Accounts Payable Administrator plays a key role in performing accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This person is responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, auditing, and processing travel and entertainment expense reports.
What you will do:
Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoicesReconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balancesVerify actual receipt of invoiced items and prepare invoice deduction notices as necessaryProcess vendor invoices for payment and charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reportsEnsure accuracy and timeliness of processes and paymentsReview invoices for accuracy and work to resolve discrepanciesAnswer all vendor inquiriesAnalyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms and/or extended payments with our vendorsPrepare payment register and generate wire payment requests to pay our vendorsPrint all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable filesPrepare analysis of accounts, as requiredAssist in monthly closingsAssist with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessaryWhat we are looking for:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; At least 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh level of problem-solving skills in a fast-paced working environmentAbility to communicate in English both verbally and written; strong communication and customer service skillsProven proficiency in Microsoft ExcelComputer software proficiencyHigh attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skillsStrong analytical skills in basic accounts payable and accounting policyProven ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team, prioritize, and meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities effectivelyMeets deadlines and conveys report progress, issues, and matters that require a higher level of input in decisionTrustworthy, reliable, and able to effectively perform with limited direct supervision#LI-JT1
