Job Overview

Our fast-growing Employment/Labor law firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Attorney/Paralegal for our Litigation Department. The ideal candidate will have knowledge the legal industry, legal operations, and personally communicate with potential clients to evaluate case viability. This role requires strong research skills, legal expertise, and the ability to ensure prospective clients receive exceptional service during a critical time.

Responsibilities

  • Work with staff in the Litigation Department to ensure seamless operations.
  • Filing (State and Federal)
  • Calendaring
  • Provide guidance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Directly communicate with potential clients to assess case viability and answer legal questions.
  • Develop and implement efficient intake processes and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of potential client information in the firm's systems.
  • Review and approve retainer agreements and other client documents.
  • Collaborate with marketing and management teams to optimize client onboarding.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of the legal (litigation and/or Employment) industry
  • Familiarity with Law Regulations is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis and other resources.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal issues.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
