At Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) the Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's accounts payable processes. This role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating payments, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
The Accounts Payable Coordinator collaborates closely with internal departments, vendors, and financial institutions to facilitate smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Coordination:
Prepare and schedule payments to vendors based on payment terms and company policies.
Process electronic payments, checks, and other payment methods in a timely manner.
Ensure accuracy of payment details and banking information.
Vendor Relations
Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve payment-related inquiries and discrepancies.
Maintain positive vendor relationships through prompt and courteous communication.
Address any issues related to invoicing and payments, escalating as necessary.
Record Keeping
Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and documentation.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendor statements.
Internal Collaboration
Collaborate with procurement and other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices.
Work closely with the finance team to reconcile accounts payable balances and provide necessary reports for month-end and year-end closing processes.
Compliance And Reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities, including aging reports and cash flow projections.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function.
Participate in the implementation of new technologies or systems to streamline workflows.
Audit Support
Assist auditors with accounts payable-related documentation and inquiries during internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- Previous experience (typically 2-4 years) in accounts payable, finance, or related roles.
- Excellent follow-up and organization skills, detail-oriented and the ability to produce accurate information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the overall team success and meeting objectives.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle vendor inquiries and disputes diplomatically.
- Advanced English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
