PI Analyst

We are currently searching for a Senior PI Analyst (OSIsoft PI System):

Responsibilities

• Manage PI Historians, including access, security, new tag creation, and interfaces.
• Administer PI AF and AF SQL Servers, handling access control, security, and database creation and maintenance.
• Create and manage workflow output tags in in-country PI historians in collaboration with PI Analysts.
• Design, configure, and maintain PI interfaces (OPC UA, OPC DA, PItoPI, PI System Connector) to ensure high-resolution, reliable data ingestion.
• Develop and maintain AF databases, elements, templates, attributes, analyses, and calculations aligned with workflow requirements.
• Act as SME for the AF Builder tool, supporting and mentoring PI analysts across sites.
• Ensure PI system performance, scalability, and troubleshooting efficiency, especially in high tag count and sub-second data environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting OSIsoft PI and/or PI AF systems.
• Strong understanding of PI tags, data archives, and PI system architecture.
• Extensive experience with PI interfaces, including OPC UA, OPC DA, PItoPI, and PI System Connector.
• Advanced experience designing high-resolution, high-volume data ingestion solutions.
• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server, Oracle) with intermediate to advanced querying capabilities.
• Expert-level data manipulation skills using tools such as TOAD, Access, and Excel.
• Experience with AF Client, AF Builder, and global template management.
• Knowledge of sensor data and industrial data sources.
• Working experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies applied to data-centric solutions.
• Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken.

Desired 

• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Programming or scripting experience (e.g., VB or other languages as required).
• Prior experience working with distributed or multi-country PI environments.

Languages

• Advanced Oral English.
• Native Spanish.
