We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
Tax Specialist
to manage the preparation of tax returns and collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax-related recordkeeping. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and supporting financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Return Preparation and Filing

  • Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT/ISAN, and other applicable taxes).
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, especially those relevant to the automotive sector.
  • Maintain a tax calendar to meet all filing and payment deadlines.

Tax Records and Documentation

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate recording of tax-related transactions.
  • Maintain organized records of all tax filings, supporting documents, and correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Reconcile tax accounts to support accurate financial reporting.

Tax Compliance Support

  • Assist in responding to tax audits and inquiries by providing required documentation.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
  • Support tax provision calculations and deferred tax reporting.

Finance Team Collaboration

  • Align tax return data with accounting records.
  • Support monthly and year-end closings with accurate tax entries.
  • Ensure compliance with electronic invoicing requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in tax return preparation and compliance, preferably in manufacturing or automotive.
  • Strong knowledge of indirect taxes (e.g., VAT, ISAN) and corporate income tax.
  • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
  • Team-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Basic understanding of international tax compliance and transfer pricing.
