Compensation & Benefits Specialist – Mexico
We're looking for a proactive Compensation & Benefits Specialist to strengthen our Total Rewards function in Mexico and lead the design, implementation, and optimization of local compensation and benefits programs for both corporate and operational teams. This role will be key in ensuring market competitiveness, employee satisfaction, and alignment with our company's strategic goals across diverse workforces from office-based professionals to high-volume operational environments.
Challenges that await you:
- Lead the development and enhancement of local benefits programs that address the needs of both corporate employees and operational staff.
- Coordinate and manage local vendors and providers, including universities, wellness platforms, and insurance partners (e.g., Tecmilenio University, gym programs, and medical coverage providers).
- Monitor service quality and optimize existing benefits such as health insurance, wellness programs, and education partnerships.
- Design and implement new, competitive benefits for high-turnover operational environments, including:
- Grocery Voucher Programs (tax-exempt, widely used in the Mexican market).
- Meal Co-financing Programs (cash or meal cards with tax advantages).
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure compensation and benefits remain competitive and compliant with local labor and tax regulations.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Operations leaders to analyze workforce needs, ensuring benefits align with the company's retention and performance goals.
- Prepare reports and analyses on benefit utilization, cost efficiency, and ROI, providing actionable insights for leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in total rewards strategy, leveraging local insights and data.
What makes you a great fit:
- Proven experience as a C&B Specialist, HR Generalist, or Total Rewards Analyst with a focus on benefits management in Mexico.
- Strong understanding of the Mexican labor and benefits market, especially as it relates to both corporate and operational (high-headcount, performance-based pay) environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts with benefit providers.
- Ability to work independently and lead local initiatives while coordinating with global stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset and confidence working with data, metrics, and cost-benefit analysis (Google Sheets, Excel, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to present proposals to senior leadership.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and execution excellence.
