SAP Technical Development Lead

The SAP Technical Development Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of SAP technical solutions across multiple SAP platforms. This role acts as the technical authority for SAP development activities, ensuring high-quality standards, scalable architecture, and alignment with business and IT strategies.

• Lead end-to-end SAP technical development initiatives, including design, build, testing, and deployment.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to SAP developers (ABAP, Fiori/UI5, CDS, OData, BTP).

• Define and enforce SAP development standards, best practices, and governance.

• Collaborate with functional leads, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Oversee integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using APIs, IDocs, RFCs, CPI, or middleware.

• Review and approve technical designs, code quality, and transport management.

• Ensure solutions comply with security, performance, and scalability requirements.

• Support SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and migrations.

• Identify opportunities to optimize and modernize SAP landscapes (e.g., clean core, cloud extensions).

• Mentor and develop technical team members and conduct technical reviews.

• Manage technical risks, dependencies, and issue resolution during project execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP technical development experience.

• Strong expertise in SAP ABAP (OO ABAP, Enhancements, User Exits, BAdIs).

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA technical architecture.

• Solid knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, and CDS Views.

• Experience with SAP BTP and cloud-based extensions is highly desirable.

• Hands-on experience with SAP integrations (CPI, PI/PO, APIs, IDocs).

• Strong understanding of SAP development lifecycle and transport management.

• Experience leading technical teams or acting as technical lead on SAP projects.

• Experience with SAP Analytics (CDS Analytical Views, SAP Analytics Cloud).

• Knowledge of DevOps practices within SAP environments.

• SAP certifications (ABAP, S/4HANA, BTP) are a plus.

• Experience working in global, multicultural, and remote teams.
