The Opportunity
The IT Support Specialist will serve as the initial technical point of contact for internal users across North America, providing remote support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide Level 1 support for IT issues via remote tools (e.g., MS Teams, TeamViewer).
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve incidents within SLA timelines using Jira ticketing system.
- Monitor internal IT systems and tools daily.
- Deploy and configure new tools and software on user workstations remotely.
- Administer user accounts, email addresses, and access levels for new hires.
- Provide support for remote users, including VPN and remote desktop setup and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose/and resolve technical issues with software and hardware
- Assist with onboarding tasks, including VPN setup and access provisioning for remote users.
- Assist and support internal IT projects
- Some travelling maybe required to our plant in Jacona.
What You Bring
- An undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, etc. is an asset
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is
- Advanced knowledge of Office 365 and basic networking principles.
- Must have knowledge of PC components and design, networking concepts, including PC setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- Microsoft MCSE or MCP is a significant asset.
- Knowledge of automation and AI is an asset
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Customer service focus with a collaborative mindset.
