Job Summary
Development / Implementation and Improvement of SMT processes, preparation of balanced programs ensuring equipment capacity, optimized model changes, generation of thermal profiles. Taking corrective and preventive actions to solve problems using established methodologies. Continuous improvement in reducing waste from component placement machines as well as scrap generated throughout the SMT process. Purchase "Stencil Design" / Control and Maintenance of tooling (Squeegees/Stencils/Bases for paste printers), ensuring that equipment operates safely. Responsible for the OEE of assigned lines as well as supporting the new product introduction team in the SMT area, including stencil design and purchase. Documentation necessary for the operation of SMT lines. Implementation of Deviations when required, Management of SMT Equipment programs (Laser/SPI/Paste Printer/P&P/Reflow Oven).

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Participation in the introduction of new products in the SMT area (NPI Support).
• Programming of the machines in the SMT area.
• Generation of necessary documentation for the operation of SMT equipment.
• Providing necessary support to the manufacturing areas.
• Responsible for line metrics (OEE, Waste, Scrap, Available Time).
• Process and program optimization.Definition and proposals to improve the layout.
• Improving machine performance.
• Responsible for designing and requesting necessary tooling (stencils, fixtures, bases, etc.).
• Support in engineering changes that affect a product or process related to SMT.
• "Ensure that safety, health, and environmental programs and policies are followed to prevent any accidents in your area of responsibility or company facilities."Promote discipline, cleanliness, order, and cost reduction in your area of responsibility.
• Monitoring the actions identified from continuous improvement activities.
• Support and active participation in continuous improvement events.
• Participation in keeping the SMT area within the target in the 5S metric.
• Maintain product traceability throughout the process.
• Implementation of best practices.
• Definition of consumables.

Skills And Minimum Experience Required

• Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years in the electronics industry.
• IPC A-610Programming on SMT equipment
• PFMEA
• Programming on Automatic Insertion equipment (preferred)
• Process control
