We are looking for a bilingual professional with experience in launching automotive projects, preferably with BMW, to lead the coordination of new projects and the development of suppliers from a quality perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Quality Engineer:

  • Ensure implementation of customer-specific requirements (CSR), with a focus on BMW standards.
  • Actively participate in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Core Tools.
  • Develop, audit, and qualify new suppliers in quality aspects.
  • Coordinate product and process validations.
  • Manage corrective and preventive actions with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Monitor key quality indicators during the launch phase.
  • Experience with welding processes in a metal-mechanic company.

As a Launch Leader:

  • Coordinate the overall project timeline, ensuring milestone achievement.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across all involved departments.
  • Lead project progress meetings (internal and with customers).
  • Identify project risks and lead mitigation plans.
  • Ensure availability of resources, materials, tools, and documentation for SOP.
  • Act as the main liaison with the customer during development and launch.
  • Track deliverables from each area and consolidate progress reports.

Profile:

  • Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or related field.
  • Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project quality, supplier development, or automotive project management.
  • Proven experience in project launches with BMW.
  • Technical knowledge: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, Core Tools.
  • Standards: IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001.
  • Project management tools: Gantt charts, timelines, KPI tracking.
  • Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes (preferred).
  • Soft skills: Leadership, teamwork, effective communication, organization, problem-solving, decision-making under pressure.
