Supplier Quality Engineer

We are looking for a bilingual professional with experience in launching automotive projects, preferably with BMW, to lead the coordination of new projects and the development of suppliers from a quality perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Quality Engineer:
- Ensure implementation of customer-specific requirements (CSR), with a focus on BMW standards.
- Actively participate in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Core Tools.
- Develop, audit, and qualify new suppliers in quality aspects.
- Coordinate product and process validations.
- Manage corrective and preventive actions with suppliers and internal teams.
- Monitor key quality indicators during the launch phase.
- Experience with welding processes in a metal-mechanic company.
As a Launch Leader:
- Coordinate the overall project timeline, ensuring milestone achievement.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across all involved departments.
- Lead project progress meetings (internal and with customers).
- Identify project risks and lead mitigation plans.
- Ensure availability of resources, materials, tools, and documentation for SOP.
- Act as the main liaison with the customer during development and launch.
- Track deliverables from each area and consolidate progress reports.
Profile:
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or related field.
- Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project quality, supplier development, or automotive project management.
- Proven experience in project launches with BMW.
- Technical knowledge: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, Core Tools.
- Standards: IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001.
- Project management tools: Gantt charts, timelines, KPI tracking.
- Knowledge of metal manufacturing processes (preferred).
- Soft skills: Leadership, teamwork, effective communication, organization, problem-solving, decision-making under pressure.
