Who You'll Work With

Slalom is seeking a talented Microsoft 365 Platform Specialist to join our Modern Workplace team. In this role, you would help our team support modern collaboration solutions for customers, focused on SharePoint, Teams, and Copilot. As a Platform Specialist, the focus of your role could vary from project to project, so it requires someone who is flexible, open to new challenges, and willing to work in situations where scope may not always be clearly defined.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in working in a hybrid environment as we build the foundation and grow our team in Mexico. We offer a flexible working environment to balance the need to work independently, with days that will require in-person collaboration at our office.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the investigation of the root cause of collaboration issues on the Microsoft 365 platform
  • Develop a technical approach to resolving issues and communication associated with changes
  • Hands on configuration with SharePoint, Teams, and Copilot solutions
  • Required skills and experience:
  • Configure SharePoint
  • Preference given to candidates with these additional skills and experience:
  • SharePoint migrations with SharePoint migration tool or Sharegate
  • Search configuration, managed properties and building solutions with modern search PnP
  • Be flexible in approach to successfully follow both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Identify potential risks and issues, anticipate points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns
  • Create and execute system test plans, verify updates and features, assist in triaging issues
  • Attend project meetings and provide project status reporting as needed
  • Supplement client reporting with use cases or metrics

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience leading projects and designing solutions of code-less solutions on the Microsoft 365 platform
  • Experience delivering complex intranet solutions, collaborative workspaces, company, customer, or partner portals
  • Skilled at defining and documenting business and functional requirements and working in an ambiguous and changing environment
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Able to draw on past experiences and projects to define highly successful solutions
  • Able to proactively identify risks, and drive action to mitigate and resolve issues
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a vast array of information
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels
  • Able to add to team culture and inspire others around you
  • Strong sense of ownership
