You'll Support Meaningful Work By:
- Leading design development and strategic product selection for Steelcase's largest accounts.
- Creating and maintaining design standards to deliver solutions that meet client needs and win business.
- Collaborating with sales teams and multi-disciplinary internal and external partners to execute complex projects.
- Managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timelines.
- Applying design best practices to solve common and complex problems and identify process improvements.
- Documenting and structuring design-related information to provide guidance and training to dealers and partners.
- Building strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnership success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- 2–5 years of previous experience as a designer and in design roles.
- Demonstrated customer-facing experience, including presenting design concepts, collaborating directly with clients, and managing feedback throughout the project lifecycle
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Strong creative listening skills to understand client needs and translate them into strategic design solutions
- Ability to produce relevant, high-quality output with attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaborative mindset with proven success working in cross-functional teams
- Positive attitude, commitment to deadlines, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with Steelcase furniture specification (can be trained if not already experienced)
