You’ll Support Meaningful Work By:Developing plans, applications, and design work based on project needs and providing creative inputCreating relevant and on-brand design solutions that represent concepts and ideas aligned with the Steelcase portfolioCollaborating with internal teams such as product marketing, communications, and visualization to support varied projectsTranslating research insights into conceptual designs and applications for marketing initiativesConsulting on internal projects and initiatives to provide design expertise and recommendationsPlanning space layouts and conceptual designs while incorporating knowledge of materials and finishesMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture2–4 years of professional experience developing design proposals, working with materiality, and creating conceptual layoutsFluent in spoken and written English at a professional levelAbility to translate client needs into meaningful applications, design concepts, and presentations following established templatesExperience collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve design needsKnowledge and/or experience with materials (fabrics, paints, architectural finishes)Experience modeling simple architectural elements in SketchUpPortfolio showcasing relevant design workDesired Skills And ExperienceFamiliarity with Enscape and VeritasKnowledge of the global Steelcase portfolioProficiency in pCon, SketchUp, PowerPoint, and MiroExperience translating research into design conceptsKnowledge of generative AI toolsMentoring experiencePrevious experience working in an architecture or interior design firmDoing better for people and planetSteelcase is a global design and thought leader in the world of work.
