Job Description:

  • Prepares kits for issue to the floor following production planning prioritization.

  • Manages inventory storage and placement (vault attendant)

  • Notifies Production Planner of material shortages

  • Release batches to manufacturing through MRP System.

  • Cycle count when needed 

  • Follow current compliance regulations and standards

  • Perform other jobs as required

  • Ensure compliance to the quality policy in all activities

  • Support and promote the safety and industrial hygiene objectives of the plant Support continuous improvement programs such Lean Manufacturing, kaizens, 6S, etc. Maintain accurate WIP reports vs. Production plan.

MATERIALS CLERK II (SEGUNDO TURNO)

Resumen del puesto
  • Preparar kits de producción según el plan proporcionado por el equipo de planificación y programación de producción.
  • Mantener las ubicaciones de inventario conforme al plan y realizar conteos cíclicos de manera regular.
Deberes y responsabilidades

Incluyen, entre otros:

  • Preparar kits para su entrega al área de producción siguiendo la priorización del plan.
  • Administrar el almacenamiento y ubicación del inventario (función de "vault attendant").
  • Notificar al planificador de producción sobre faltantes de material.
  • Liberar lotes a manufactura mediante el sistema MRP.
  • Realizar conteos cíclicos cuando sea necesario.
  • Cumplir con las regulaciones y estándares vigentes.
  • Ejecutar otras tareas según se requiera.
  • Garantizar el cumplimiento de la política de calidad en todas las actividades.
  • Apoyar y promover los objetivos de seguridad e higiene industrial de la planta.
  • Participar en programas de mejora continua como Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 6S, etc.
  • Mantener reportes precisos de WIP (trabajo en proceso) vs. plan de producción.
Experiencia y educación
  • Se requiere como mínimo Diploma de Bachillerato o equivalente.
  • De 2 a 4 años de experiencia en áreas relacionadas o estar cursando una Licenciatura en Ingeniería (preferido).
Conocimientos, destrezas, habilidades y certificaciones requeridas
  • Sólidas habilidades en computación.
  • Buenas habilidades de comunicación para interactuar con manufactura, ingeniería, gestión de materiales, control de calidad, compras, aduanas y otros departamentos.
  • Conocimiento práctico de aplicaciones y software de PC (MS Windows, Excel, etc.).
  • Buenas habilidades básicas de matemáticas.
  • Conocimiento del concepto de sistemas ERP (MRP).
  • Experiencia previa en tareas administrativas deseada.
  • Experiencia previa en manufactura deseada.
  • Habilidades básicas de lectura y escritura en inglés (preferido).
