Commercial Specialist
to join its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in
Mexico City
.
This role is responsible for overseeing commercial, contract, and procurement activities in support of SPV O&M operations, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, budgets, timelines, and internal corporate policies. The position plays a key role in contract execution, procurement processes, and stakeholder coordination, including close interaction with China-based teams, while providing executive-level commercial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial, Contract & Procurement Management
- Manage end-to-end commercial, contract, and procurement activities supporting SPV O&M operations.
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer contracts, including amendments, claims, and close-out processes.
- Lead procurement processes, including RFP preparation, vendor evaluation, award recommendations, and procurement system administration.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, budgets, timelines, and internal corporate policies.
Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate closely with project managers and internal stakeholders to support timely commercial and operational decisions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for China-based stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and follow-up.
- Prepare, analyze, and present executive-level commercial, performance, and procurement reports for senior management.
Risk & Performance Management
- Monitor commercial risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support strategic decision-making through data-driven commercial analysis and insights.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
- Relevant certifications in commercial, contracts, or procurement matters (preferred).
Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in commercial, contracts, procurement, or related roles (required).
- Experience working with international stakeholders, preferably with exposure to China-based teams (preferred).
- Experience preparing and presenting executive-level reports and commercial analysis (required).
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Advanced English proficiency (B2/C1)
