Senior On-Prem Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Mexico City

Work Model: 100% On-site (Arcus / Mastercard Offices)

We are seeking a Senior On-Prem Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform Support Team, supporting a real-time payments platform (SPEI) within a highly regulated enterprise environment.

This role will collaborate closely with engineering and data teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of critical infrastructure systems. The position requires strong operational expertise, clear documentation practices, and effective communication in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the stability, performance, and security of on-prem infrastructure platforms.
  • Manage daily infrastructure operations, including servers, databases, virtualization, storage, backups, firewalls, containers, and monitoring tools.
  • Implement and maintain system and application monitoring solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Support transactional operations by validating system outputs and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and follow established operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, operational manuals, and applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Experience managing Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL / MySQL databases.
  • Experience working in VMware virtualized environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools (Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Grafana preferred).
  • Experience with containers and application servers (JBoss).
  • Ability to operate effectively in mission-critical, regulated environments.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of financial or regulatory environments (Banxico) is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50, $90,000.00 per month
