Senior Quality Manager

As a Senior Quality Manager, you will accomplish the quality strategy across the coatings segment, ensuring compliance with standards and continuous improvement of processes and products to enhance customer satisfaction. You will lead diverse teams, improve quality control and audit management, and cultivate a culture of excellence. Your leadership will be important for strengthening our competitive advantage and supporting sustainable market growth.

You will report to Plant Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Accomplish the quality strategy for the coatings segment, ensuring agreement on our goals.

• Oversee compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and industry certifications (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA).

• Lead diverse quality teams to grow Sand engagement.

• Implement and maintain quality control systems across all production stages.

• Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance.

• Resolve quality issues using continuous improvement methodologies and statistical tools.

• Coordinate resolution of customer complaints and claims.

• Promote a culture of quality, ethics, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

• Ensure standardization and proper operation of quality control laboratories.

• Monitor and report main quality performance indicators (Indicators), driving corrective and preventive actions.

• Collaborate with production teams to improve processes, reduce waste, and improve workflow.

• Communicate with customers and partners to align quality expectations and requirements.

• Manage the quality department's budget and resources.

• Develop and implement training programs to enhance team competencies in quality-related areas.

• Manage risks that may help product performance or customer satisfaction.

• Hold authority to halt operations that do not meet established quality standards or pose risks to customers.

• Lead projects to improve business and sustainability through quality excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering

• Languages: Advanced English (mandatory)

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and customer requirements

• Certification as Internal Auditor for ISO/IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015, and VDA 6.4

• IATF certification.

• Knowledge of Core Tools

• Experience in similar industries, companies, or competitors with the desired profile.

• Over 15 years of experience in the quality field within the industry (senior profile).
