We are looking for a proactive, entrepreneurial School Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of challenges, and is passionate about building an outstanding educational and cultural community.

This role is central to Yablo's daily operations and student experience, combining school management, communication, problem-solving, technology support, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is bilingual, fast-thinking, action-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a hybrid setup.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Academic Management

  • Manage and maintain the school schedule (group and private classes)
  • Coordinate teacher schedules and availability
  • Track teacher hours and student class hours accurately
  • Manage student waiting lists
  • Ensure smooth daily operations and drive school excellence

Student Communication & Experience

  • Respond to WhatsApp inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Communicate clearly with current and prospective students
  • Support student onboarding and ongoing communication
  • Proactively suggest class packages, offers, or next steps
  • Identify potential issues early and resolve student concerns calmly and professionally

Teacher Coordination & Support

  • Act as the main point of contact for teachers regarding schedules and logistics
  • Assist with substitutions and schedule changes
  • Support a positive, professional teaching environment
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding new teachers
    as needed
  • Support training and integration of new teachers
    into Yablo's teaching standards

Technology & Systems Support

  • Provide basic technology troubleshooting for students and teachers (Google Workspace, audio/video, Wi-Fi, classroom tech)
  • Support the use of Google Classroom and digital learning tools
  • Assist with setup and use of classroom equipment
  • Minimize class disruptions caused by technical issues
  • Coordinate with external support when needed

Quality, Reputation & Growth

  • Maintain high academic and service standards
  • Encourage and support positive Google reviews
  • Monitor feedback and address concerns proactively
  • Support student retention and school growth initiatives

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Suggest ideas for Instagram and social media posts
  • Take photos and short videos of students, classes, and school activities (with consent)
  • Support light social media posting and coordination
  • Plan and coordinate cultural activities and events (e.g. museum visits)
  • Communicate event details clearly and accompany students when needed

School Administration

  • Manage inventory and stock of school supplies
  • Ensure the school space is organized, welcoming, and well-maintained
  • Support administrative tasks and special projects as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) – mandatory
  • Experience in school administration, operations, hospitality, or community management preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with: Google Classroom, Google Workspace and Google Meet
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Comfortable using WhatsApp and scheduling tools
  • Tech-savvy with basic troubleshooting ability
  • Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally for events or activities
