GateSource HR is partnering with a well -established mining company advancing operations across South America. Our client is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to lead the development and execution of all HSE initiatives across their mining operations.This is a pivotal leadership role that ensures the health and safety of employees, environmental compliance, and the company's alignment with international best practices and local regulations. Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and continuously improve site -specific HSE systems, policies, and procedures.Provide leadership and strategic direction on all HSE matters across operations.Ensure compliance with local environmental and occupational health and safety laws and regulations.Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify areas for improvement.Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.Foster a strong safety culture through training, coaching, and engagement at all organizational levels.Collaborate closely with operations, HR, legal, and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies and community representatives.Report HSE metrics and performance to senior management and support continuous improvement initiatives. RequirementsDegree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.10+ years of HSE experience in mining or heavy industry, with at least 5 in a management capacity.Strong understanding of South American environmental and labor laws.Proven experience in implementing HSE frameworks aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar standards.Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to work in remote locations and travel to multiple sites.
