Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated
Test Engineer
to join our automotive engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and automating test cases to validate embedded software, electronic control units (ECUs), and vehicle systems. This role involves close collaboration with software, hardware, and system engineers to ensure product reliability, safety, and compliance with automotive standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute
    test plans, test cases, and test scripts
    for automotive software and systems.
  • Perform
    manual and automated testing
    for embedded control units (ECUs) and vehicle networks.
  • Conduct
    integration, regression, and system-level validation
    in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) environments.
  • Use
    Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer)
    for communication testing on
    CAN, LIN, or Ethernet
    networks.
  • Analyze and report test results, create defect reports, and support debugging with development teams.
  • Support
    requirements traceability
    and ensure coverage across functional, safety, and diagnostic requirements.
  • Participate in
    peer reviews
    of test cases, test results, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with
    ASPICE
    ,
    ISO Functional Safety)
    , and other relevant automotive standards.
  • Support
    continuous improvement
    of testing processes, tools, and automation frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Automotive Engineering
    (or related field).
  • 2–6 years
    of hands-on experience in
    automotive software/system testing
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    CAN, LIN, UDS diagnostics, communication protocols, and DTCs
    .
  • Experience with
    Vector tools
    (CANoe, CANalyzer, VT System) and
    HIL systems
    (e.g., dSPACE, ETAS, NI).
  • Familiarity with
    test automation scripting
    (Python, CAPL, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of
    AUTOSAR architecture
    and
    ECU software development lifecycle
    .
  • Knowledge of
    ASPICE
    ,
    ISO 26262
    , and
    Functional Safety testing methodologies
    .
  • Proficiency in analyzing logs, debugging issues, and documenting test evidence.
